scratchly is a browser extension that provides a markdown scratchpad. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is stored, and where it is transmitted.
Data Collected
scratchly does not collect, track, or transmit any personal data to the extension developer or any third party analytics service. There are no analytics, telemetry, or tracking of any kind.
Data Stored Locally
The following data is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local:
- Scratchpad content — the text you write in the editor.
This data never leaves your device.
Network Requests
scratchly makes zero network requests. It works entirely offline.
Permissions
- storage — Used to save your scratchpad content and settings locally.
- sidePanel — Used to display the scratchpad in Chrome's side panel.
Third-Party Services
No data is shared with any third-party service.
Data Deletion
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
You can also clear your data at any time by removing the extension's storage
through Chrome's settings (chrome://extensions → scratchly → Details → Clear data).
Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
